We currently have an opening for Packaging Operator  in our Mira Loma, California facility

     

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Under general supervision, performs routine complex packaging of a variety of bottles; and cleans, assembles, and disassembles packaging machinery.

    Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures; and state, federal and local laws

    Follows verbal and written instructions provided by the Line Lead and Packaging Supervisor for packaging various sizes of bottles

    Performs packaging duties using packaging equipment, or manually, if packaging equipment is not available

    Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals related to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs); safety; packaging; cleaning; and assembly and disassembly of machinery

    Attends all safety and packaging training sessions

    Meets project deadlines and performance standards

    May operate material handling equipment

    Recommends equipment/supply needs

    Complies with all company policies and procedures

    Performs related duties as assigned

    Operators are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, vision to monitor, lifting materials weighing up to 25 pounds and moderate to loud noise levels. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 2-3 years working in a warehouse environment

    • Familiarity with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements
    • Experience with SOPs; packaging methods/procedures and documentation; MSDSs; and other manufacturing documentation
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
    • Reads, writes (spelling, grammar, and punctuation), and speaks English
    • Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
    • Following and understanding verbal and written job instructions
    • Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others
