    International Vitamin Corporation (IVC) is a leading global manufacturer of vitamins and nutritional supplements with more than half a century of private label and contract manufacturing experience, an impeccable quality and regulatory compliance record, and with new resources focused on enriching the health and lives of others. We currently have an opening for a Quality control Chemist in our Irvington, New Jersey facility.

     

    Performs analytical testing on raw material, in-process bulk product, stability and validation samples on a timely manner.

    Responsibilities

    1. Perform chemical and physical analysis of raw material, in-process, bulk product, stability, and validation samples in a timely manner and within the boundaries of International Vitamin Corp. (IVC) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP) test methods.
    2. SOPs, and industry regulations. 
    3. Maintain accurate and legible documentation of all work performed. 
    4. Prepare and standardize label reagents and test solutions. 
    5. Participate in the calibration and maintenance of all lab equipment as described in the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) or
    6. Assist in troubleshooting instrument or procedural problems as the arise. 
    7. Other duties as assigned.

     

     

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related technical field
    2. Knowledge of basic principles of analytical chemistry
    3. Working knowledge of modern lab instrumentation and procedures
    4. Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations
    5. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
    6. Analytical lab experience preferred, but not required
    7. Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
