We currently have an opening for a HR Generalist in Freehold, NJ.

     

     

    The Human Resources Generalist assists the Corporate and Field HR teams with developing and administering HR policies, procedures and programs for the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, employee relations, training and development, performance management, onboarding, safety, Worker’s compensation, policy implementation, EEO-1 Compliance, and human resources administration.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and administer programs, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company
    • Participate in developing departmental goals, objectives and systems
    • Responsible for data entry of new hires, terminations, and various organizational changes while maintaining data integrity
    • Coordinate pre-employment background checks
    • Prepare and analyze reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company
    • Assist with the development of and reconcile spending of the HR budget
    • Ensure that the company complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirement including any related to the EEO-1
    • Assist in conducting work place accident investigations, file claims and maintains a professional relationship with WC insurance carrier
    • Administer Worker’s Compensation Program including maintaining required records and reports and transitional work programs as needed
    • Improve supervisor and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees

    • Serve as a resource to team members and managers/liaison on to HR management whenever ER issues arise. Communicates issues or feedback to HR management
    • Support performance management activities as directed
    • Research, interpret and assist with drafting HR related Policies and Procedures
    • Partner with employees and management to communicate HR procedures
    • Enhance corporate culture by recommending and implementing creative initiatives
    • Conduct exit interviews with employees; communicate findings to management
    • Maintain metrics, compile various reports and analyze data as directed
    • Assist safety committee to prioritize compliance in an organized manner.
    • Manage special events, employee recognition programs and activities to include the planning, facilitation, monitoring and execution of these efforts and initiatives
    • Maintain affirmative action program, file EEO-1 report annually, maintain other records, reports and logs to confirm to EEO regulations.
    • Communicate benefit information to employees as well as coordinate benefits meetings with vendors and employees.
    • Assist with training initiatives and roll-outs as needed
    • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of the department and services performed
    • Assist with benefit administration and open enrollment as needed
    • Provide assistance for employees; answer questions, address concerns; resolve issues quickly by actively listening and making recommendations for resolutions; escalate situations as necessary
    • Perform other miscellaneous projects and other duties as assigned

     

     

     

    Qualifications

     

     

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 3-5 year’s work experience
    • HR certification preferred
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, ADP, iCims helpful
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment with effective decision making, creative problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
    • Strong organizational, planning and priority-setting skills; ability to produce accurate work results and handle multiple projects
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research, troubleshoot and resolve issues; detail-oriented and self-starter
