We currently have an opening for a Quality Assurance Associate II in our Mira Loma California location.

     

    The Quality Assurance (QA) Associate II will perform job duties within the areas of compliance and inspection. The position of QA Associate II will serve as a knowledgeable and objective resource in the adherence to cGMPs and SOPs. The QA Associate II will provide support to the QA Supervisor. QA Associate II will perform critical functions, including in-process checks, line clearances, audits and training/education, in support of a robust quality system.

    Responsibilities

     

     

    Compliance

    • Verify processes in plant operations (i.e. manufacturing, packaging, logistics, et al.) for compliance to cGMPs and SOPs, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Verify line and room clearance and in-process checks in packaging and manufacturing area’s

     

     

    GMPs

    • Implement and verify processes in plant operations (i.e. administration, manufacturing, packaging, logistics, and quality) for compliance to cGMPs, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Provide education throughout the organization on sustaining cGMP compliance.

     

    GMPs

    • Implement and verify processes in plant operations (i.e. administration, manufacturing, packaging, logistics, and quality) for compliance to cGMPs, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Provide education throughout the organization on sustaining cGMP compliance.

     

    SOPs and SSOPs

    • Implement and verify processes in plant operations (i.e. administration, manufacturing, packaging, logistics, and quality) for adherence to SOPs and SSOPs, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Provide education as needed throughout the organization on sustaining SOP and SSOP adherence
    • Extend support to all functional areas in the development, and updating of SOPs and SSOPs as needed.
    • Training

    • Support Human Resources in performing routine (initial and on-going) cGMP training, Food Defense and other related training for all employees as needed or required.
    • Audit training program for entire organization in coordination with Human Resources.

     

     

    Audits

    • Perform internal audits to observe organizational compliance to cGMPs and SOPs
    • Participate in supplier audits to verify their systems and processes are sufficient to provide quality products or services
    • Participate in customer and regulatory inspection of the manufacturing plant
    • Prepare audit reports and responses

     

    Other responsibilities

    • Participate in validation studies
    • Act as back-up for the QA supervisor in his/her absence
    • Perform other functions as assigned by QA supervisor, Quality manager or VP Quality/RA

     

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    Associate's Degree, or equivalent units from an accredited institution.

    Five years experience in a quality role at an FDA-regulated manufacturer, with exceptional understanding of cGMP and SOP complance.

    • Computer literate and familiar with commercial software such as Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of 21 CFR 110 and 111 quality regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines
    • Capability to work in a manufacturing environment with air-borne powder, noise, and moving equipment
    • Able to communicate, write and understand English.
    • Ability to sit, walk, stand and reach frequently
    • Capacity to lift at least 25lbs
