We currently have an opening for a Compression Set Up Operator in our Greenville, South Carolina facility, 2nd shift.

     

    This position will ensure efficiency of equipment with tablet compression by setting-up, cleaning, operating and maintaining equipment in accordance with cGMPs and SOPs. This candidate will participate in developing and monitoring the process to improve uptime and efficiencies.

    Responsibilities

    • Produces requirements by operating and monitoring equipment, observing varying conditions; adjust equipment controls in accordance with batch tickets and SOPs
    • Perform machine tooling changeovers
    • Perform all maintenance checks on equipment and report any needed repairs to area supervisor or department manager
    • Keeps equipment operating by following SOPs; troubleshooting breakdowns, calling for assistance as needed
    • Maintains safe and clean environment
    • Ability to understand, follow and perform accurately all instructions written in batch production record
    • Engage in the use of Lean Sigma Tools; i.e. FMEA, DMAIC, 7 Wastes, etc.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Demonstrated Compression experience and mechanical ability
    • Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks
    • Ability to perform heavy lifting (handling of bulk tablets)
    • Good math skills including fractions, decimals, computing rate, ration and percent
    • Good problem solving skills; detail oriented
    • Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Ability to work well with others (team player) and independently
    • Neat and accurate handwriting
    • History of dependability and responsibility
    • Overtime required when needed (including weekends)
