We currently have an opening for an Engineering Manager in our Philadelphia, PA facility.

    The Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate activities related to the manufacturing of solid dose products. This includes developing and implementing production and resource plans across different groups that meet production goals in terms of safety, quality, output and cost; ensuring proper staff training and conducting key required training; ensuring that production deliverables are met, or expectations are proactively managed towards alternative solutions; and working with business development and contracts groups to assist in project definition and costing as needed.


    1. Prepare plans with detailed drawings that include project specifications and cost estimates
    2. Design and execute engineering experiments to create workable solutions
    3. Develop engineering calculations, diagrams and technical reports
    4. Complete required technical and regulatory documents as needed
    5. Ensure projects are completed on-time and within the specified budget
    6. Present analysis results and project solutions to technical leads, senior leaders and clients as necessary
    7. Responsible for the research and development of new products as determined by the company’s product development plan.  Continually researches for new methods or components to enhance or improve existing products.
    8. Coordinates and is responsible for activities of all engineering personnel and outside consultants and/or contractors; develops engineering action plans to guide timely and cost-effective development of projects; maintains the system of budget and schedule control.
    9. Prepares and/or reviews engineering change requests; discusses feasibility with product development committee; develops and oversees preparation and implementation of all engineering change notices and document change control.
    10. Performs other engineering duties as requested by the Director, Engineering.
    11. Supervises all Engineering Technicians, Building Maintenance, Parts, Housekeeping personal.


    1. At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role in Engineering or pharmaceutical facilities operations.
    2. Experienced in producing work on a computer; proficient with Microsoft. Word/Project/Project/Excel/Visio, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Electrical, Maximo CMMs Software
    3. Good interpersonal and management skills
    4. Must be able to deal independently with a wide range of complex technical, personnel, and other issues on a routine basis.
    5. Responsible for site infrastructure long range and annual plans.
    6. Internal contacts are cross-functional/cross-divisional across entire company throughout company
    7. External contacts include county agencies, local governments, facility and quality engineering professional groups. 
    8. Measurement based continuous improvement framework/tools; evidence of measurable value/return of this leadership.
    9. Ability to see big picture, develop strategy and supporting plans. Ability to build and implement adaptable organizations flexing as business requirements evolve.
