     This position reporting to Manufacturing Supervisor ensures efficiency of equipment with tablet compression by setting-up, cleaning, operating and maintaining equipment in accordance with cGMPs and SOPs.  Candidate will participate in developing and monitoring the process to improve uptime and efficiencies.  Compression Set Up Operator 2nd shift.

    Responsibilities

    ¨ Produces requirements by operating and monitoring equipment; observing varying conditions; adjustment equipment controls in accordance with batch tickets and SOPs
    ¨ Perform machine tooling changeovers
    ¨ Perform all maintenance checks on equipment and report any needed repairs to area Supervisor or Department Manager
    ¨ Keeps equipment operating by following SOPs: troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for assistance as needed
    ¨ Maintains safe and clean environment
    ¨ Ability to understand, follow and perform accurately all instructions written in the batch production record
    ¨ Engage in the use of Lean Sigma Tools; i.e. FMEA, DMAIC, 7 Wastes, etc.

    Qualifications

    ¨ High School Diploma or GED
    ¨ Demonstrated Compression experience / Demonstrated Mechanical Ability
    ¨ Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks
    ¨ Ability to perform heavy lifting (handling of bulk tablets)
    ¨ Good Math Skills including fractions, decimals, computing rate, ratio and percent
    ¨ Good Problem Solving Skills; Detail Oriented
    ¨ Good Communication Skills (both written and verbal)
    ¨ Ability to work well with others (team player) and independently
    ¨ Neat and accurate handwriting
    ¨ History of good attendance required with a history of dependability and responsibilities
    ¨ Overtime required when needed (including weekends)
