  • Overview

    The Quality Assurance (QA) Associate I will perform job duties within the areas of compliance and inspection. The position of QA Associate I will serve as a knowledgeable and objective resource in the adherence to cGMPs and SOPs. The QA Associate I will provide support to the QA Supervisor. QA Associate I will perform critical functions, including in-process checks, line clearances, audits and training/education, in support of a robust quality system.

    Responsibilities

    • Verify processes in plant operations (i.e. manufacturing, packaging, logistics, et al.) for compliance to cGMPs and SOPs, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Verify line and room clearance and in-process checks in packaging and manufacturing area’
    •  Provide education throughout the organization on sustaining cGMP compliance.
    • Verify processes in plant operations (i.e. administration, manufacturing, packaging, logistics, and quality) for compliance to cGMPs, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Verify processes in plant operations (i.e. administration, manufacturing, packaging, logistics, and quality) for adherence to SOPs and SSOPs, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Provide education as needed throughout the organization on sustaining SOP and SSOP adherence
    • Support Human Resources in performing routine (initial and on-going) cGMP training, Food Defense and other related training for all employees as needed or required.
    • Perform sustainability checks on closed observations.
    • Aid in internal audits to observe organizational compliance to cGMPs and SOPs
    • Perform other functions as assigned by QA manager, Quality Sr. manager

    Qualifications

    Highschool diploma

    Must be able to lift minimum of 25lbs

    Must be able to be on your feet 80% of the shift

    Must be efficient in Word/Excel/Outlook
