Supply Planner

We currently have an opening for a Bulk Production Planner as part of our Supply Planning team in our Greenville, SC location.

• As an experienced Planner, will partner with peers and colleagues to seek opportunities to continuously improve our supply planning processes, demonstrate high level of commitment to service to our customers, and support operations while maintaining inventory targets.
• The role is responsible for bulk production planning activities ensuring customer requirements are met, avoiding customer production shortages, controlling obsolescence through inventory control, and partnering with operations to maximize throughput and prevent unscheduled downtime. Bulk is the term used for produced tablets, softgels, capsules, etc. that is packaged into finished goods. The role will follow all processes associated with supply planning to ensure support of manufacturing across our North American manufacturing facilities (5 locations) as assigned.

• Owns supply planning activities, supporting SIOP, plant efficiencies, and customer service and bulk inventory targets.
• Plans and prioritizes bulk production to ensure maximum operations performance while protecting customer service targets. Performs analysis and makes recommendations to gain further efficiencies.
• Takes responsibility for making recommendations to balance bulk inventory levels to prevent out-of-stock conditions or late shipments. Investigates alternatives to streamline bulk and raw material inventory levels and implements effective solutions.
• Identifies any future bulk and raw material shortages and provides insight to Customer Service team ahead of time to assist Customer communication and allow accurate cut coding.
• Works cross functionally to support all new and changes to bulk products. Owns planning for new bulk products to be produced on time.
• Identifies and addresses issues when they arise, aiming for minimum disruption.
• Works to find root cause of issues and partners with the wider team to find sustainable solutions.
• Shows personal commitment to enhancing planning, business understanding and customer focus skills, demonstrating growth with the goal of continuous improvement in cost and delivery.
• Partners with production to increase understanding of line constraints, line scheduling for increased efficiency, and impact on capacity.

• 3+ years (preferred) of supply chain process experience in supply planning and/or material planning
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, preferably in supply chain
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective collaborator with demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle
• Ability to prioritize own workload with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and vlookups).
• Travel is minimal but may be necessary at times to work with partners in manufacturing locations.
