Packaging Supervisor: 12 Hour Day Shift

Responsible for coordinating duties and work requirements relating to assigned operations lines or areas.  These include but are not limited to ensuring safe and environmentally sound work behaviors, quality assurance, sanitation, schedule attainment, line performance and cost reduction, employee relations, and employee assignment. The Operations Supervisor is responsible to ensure staffing with proper knowledge and competency in order to achieve plant objectives and adherence to company policies and procedures. This position requires physical proximity to the production floor on a majority basis to proving coaching to line staff and team members, auditing expectations and problem solving. 




  • Maintain line process reliability to meet production goals.
  • Ability to communicate objectives to the line and report results to production management team.
  • Help implement solutions to support daily results improvement in safety, quality, customer service, and cost. Drive overall improvements to current systems to enable sustained performance in those areas.
  • Acts as the supervisory point of contact for employee issues. Provides feedback to team members through ongoing coaching sessions and performance reviews.
  • Approves employee timekeeping records, conveys company policies to workers, and leads team on safety and quality initiatives.
  • Understand and follow SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
  • Work effectively with a diverse “customer” group, (production line workers, operations manager, maintenance, quality, etc.), to understand and meet/exceed their expectations and achieve desired business results.
  • Ensures that adequate staff is on hand each day to meet production requirements, schedules all work assignments, shifts and scheduled absences.
  • Coordinates and assure both mandatory and other training for team members.
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets equipment, sanitation and production data, monitors results, and presents information to other supervisors and managers to help identify areas to make changes in methods and procedures to improve equipment, sanitation and production performance.
  • Actively involved in Continuous Improvement program, which includes leading, providing and interpreting information and taking part in problem solving.
  • Adhere to all safety practices and enforce safe behaviors from all team members. Support BOS process. Assure process are run in accordance with SOP's, SSOP's and that associates have the required level of safety training, all equipment and installations are well maintained with safety guards and devices, and associates are using appropriate PPE.
  • Know, support and enforce company’s policies and procedures.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.


  • BA or BS in Engineering or technical degree
  • 3 years’ experience in a regulated Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 3 years of experience leading production teams to successful results.
  • Ability to lead production team to successful results.
  • Ability to comprehend, educate others and enforce relevant policies/procedures pertinent to safety, quality, security and operations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead production to maintain line efficiency, quality, and safety.
