Overview

Under the direction of the Packaging Supervisor, this role will support the packaging department to meet their productivity demands by tracking the production schedule and maintaining an inventory control process. 

Responsibilities

  • Support the distribution of the production schedule, and other production materials to Packaging lines 
  • Coordinate and work with production, operations and Quality to assure 100% on-time delivery of components by monitoring schedules to proactively identify and address any issues. 
  • Review process and ensure material allocations and consumption are in alignment. 
  • Ensure items are put in designated locations, store and rotate all products properly. 
  • Follow guidelines for disposal or recycling of cardboard and other packing materials. 
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the Kanban area. 
  • Count and identify any discrepancies with components. 
  • Accurately pick, assemble and kit material. 
  • Anticipate and recognize suspected shortages and communicate potential problems. 
  • Develop, implement and manage inventory locations both in the warehouse and in the ERP system, put away process, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation processes. 
  • Perform cycle counting and year end inventory process-reconciliations, adjustments and report results. 
  • Work efficiently to drive process reliability and reduce line down time.  
  • Assist with training new employees when necessary. 
  • Cross train and assist in other areas to support business needs. 
  • Responsible for maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment at all times and notifies supervisor immediately of any safety concerns, accidents or injuries are observed.  
  • Ensures accurate and timely completion of all ERP data, inventory adjustments and   cGMP documentation.  
  • Understands and adheres to all cGMP and FDA regulations. 
  • Identifies and reports any quality issues to supervisor or quality department.  
  • Understands and adheres to all Company policies, procedures, SOPs and Safety regulations. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Ability to manage task simultaneously in a fast-paced environment 
  • Well organized, adaptive, and willing to learn 
  • Previous experience with ERP software 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) required 
  • Ability to effectively and professionally work under pressure, in a team-oriented environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities 
  • Experience with running a Kanban system preferred 
  • Must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in all transactions 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skill 
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills is a requirement. 
  • Team player; works well with others. 
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed. 
  • Ability to operate powered equipment trucks safely and according to Company policy/procedure. 

             

Working Conditions 

  • Ability to work overtime (Weekends) and Shift Work with required notice. 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Job requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. 
  • Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. 
  • Perform repetitive tasks. 
  • Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and all company powered industrial trucks.
