Overview

We are seeking a skilled System Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions to streamline and optimize our system operations. The role requires a strong understanding of system architecture, scripting languages, and automation tools to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability across our infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to automate repetitive tasks, configuration management, and deployment processes.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to manage server configurations and application deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and develop solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability, and proactively identify areas for improvement through automation.
  • Troubleshoot automation issues and performance bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure smooth operation of automated processes.
  • Maintain documentation for automation scripts, workflows, and system configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in automation, DevOps, and system administration to continuously enhance our automation capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, assisting in their professional development and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a System Automation Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in a team-oriented environment.
