Works independently under moderate supervision. Consisting of, but not limited to:pattern dies, pattern or casting jigs, gauges, fixtures, and miscellaneous tooling used throughout the manufacturing process. Independent and collaborative judgment and skill is frequently required. Investigate manufacturing problems and collaborate on correctiveactions for existing and expected manufacturing issues with tooling. Troubleshoot andproblem solve any ongoing production and launch related tooling issues. Develop and maintain specific preventative tooling maintenance programs and overall maintenance ofour tooling systems and procedures to align with the company standards. Maintain andkeep a well-organized system of records and file information. Address equipment and tooling problems. Able to interpret blueprints efficiently and effectively. Able to follow
and create work instructions/procedures. Perform other duties as assigned to support or facilitate the manufacturing process. To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement. Assemble, repair, rebuild,maintain, clean and storage of tooling components for die cast and other toolingapplications. Inspect and verify tooling components using precision measuring equipmentsuch as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gages. Operates alternately more than onetype of machine tool such as surface grinders/buffers, mills, drill presses, lathes, etc.
