Overview

The IT Business Systems Architect - Oracle Applications is a key role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle-based business systems and other related business applications. This position will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop technical solutions, and ensure alignment with overall IT architecture and strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle applications, including Oracle E-Business Suite, and possess expertise in system architecture, integration, and optimization.   

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities  

  • Design, develop, and maintain IT systems architecture and configuration to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and objectives for Oracle-based business systems and other applications. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. 
  • Lead the implementation, enhancement, and integration of business systems, including customization and configuration as needed. 
  • Develop technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and documentation for application implementations and enhancements. 
  • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting issues, performing upgrades, and implementing enhancements as needed. 
  • Configure and customize applications, utilizing best practices and industry standards. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices. 
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support business goals and strategic objectives. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. 
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on technical matters. 

General Responsibilities

  • Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.   
  • Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Licenses: 

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. 
  • Certifications preferred. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Strong understanding of IT architecture principles and best practices. 
  • Proficiency in Oracle technologies and tools. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage time and simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills. 
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle application architecture, modules, and components.  
  • Proficiency in Oracle application development tools and technologies, such as PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle ADF.  
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database concepts, SQL, and data modeling.  
  • Experience with Oracle application integration techniques, including APIs, web services, and middleware platforms.  
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.  
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and influence decision-making.
