Position Overview

The Senior Director of Global Demand and Supply Chain plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the demand and supply chain operations on a global scale. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in supply chain management, demand forecasting, and logistics to ensure efficient operations and fulfillment across various regions.

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain logistics to meet global market demands.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and operations to align demand and supply plans with overall business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals to execute operational plans effectively and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Establish strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
  • Manage risk factors affecting the supply chain, such as geopolitical issues, regulatory compliance, and supplier disruptions.
  • Drive innovation and adoption of new technologies to enhance supply chain visibility, agility, and resilience.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of global demand and supply chain operations.

 

General Responsibilities

  • Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation.  
  • Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work. 
  • Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.  
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications

The Candidate

Education, Experience, and Licenses:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of demand forecasting methodologies, inventory optimization techniques, and supply chain best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and delivering results in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, identify risks, and develop contingency plans.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and advanced analytics tools.
