We currently have an opening for a Transportation Supervisor at our Greenville, SC offices.
We are looking for a seasoned CDL Driver Supervisor with experience in fleet operations, as well experience in domestic inbound and outbound transportation servicing customer and internal needs. This ideal candidate must have a pro-active approach regarding the administration of driver safety, training and scheduling, asset utilization (equipment turns and use planning), cost management of assets (rolling stock Material Handling Equipment and leased/rented/owned tractors+trailers), as well as executing domestic transportation service for truckload, LTL, parcel, dedicated, ocean container drayage, and other modes as necessary.
A team of CDL drivers will be reporting to this role, and this position will be engaged in all fleet daily activity, as well as planning future tasks. The position will also lead routing activity for domestic supplier requests and ensure carrier performance is aligning with IVC expectations. The candidate must be able to multi-task and be on top of servicing the business and ensuring transactional moves are completed in a timely manner. Candidates should also have a collaborative working style and a demonstrated ability to drive tasks in partnership with other teams at IVC such as Supply Chain Planning, Warehouse and DC operations, Customer Service, Maintenance/Engineering, etc.
Under direct supervision of the production supervisor, the basic purpose of this position is to provide technical direction and leadership in assigned areas. Responsibilities will include: troubleshooting product and process related issues, assigning work tasks, resolving employee issues, ensuring a safe work place through proper training of the work force, maintaining compliance status and determining support group interventions as needed.
Under direct supervision of the production supervisor, the basic purpose of this position is to provide technical direction and leadership in assigned areas. Responsibilities will include: troubleshooting product and process related issues, lead process reliability objectives, assigning work tasks, resolving employee issues, ensuring a safe work place through proper training of the work force, maintaining compliance status and determining support group interventions as needed.
Under the direction of supervision (i.e. Manager, Supervisor and/or Team Leader), the Sortation Handler will be responsible to load cases onto the sortation conveyor and/or to unload cases and palletize as laid out by Customer Vendor Guides. Shift lengths may vary from 8 to 12 hours depending on assigned area. The Sortation Handler must be aware of all safety concerns related to a moving conveyor and must operate in a safe and professional manner.
